Tomorrow is our Remembrance Day Assembly

Highlights of Our Learning:
-Finding out what to expect during our Remembrance Day Assembly tomorrow (ie. no clapping, respectful behaviour, two minutes of silence, seeing lots of beautiful artwork, learning about the importance of our Veterans etc.)
-Problem Solving: Demonstrating an understanding of how the feet belonging to the characters in the story "The Gigantic Turnip" can be grouped to equal TEN feet. See if your child can tell you all of the characters in the story, how many feet they each have and what combinations could be created to equal ten feet. Here is the link to the story to help you remember. Please cut and paste:

-Adding black paint to orange paint to create different shades.
-"Reading and Writing the Room!! Please have your child tell you about this fun activity that we did today.

F.Y.I.
-Please send in a pair of earbuds or headphones that your child can use when they are listening to books on RazKids. Since students are working on their individual levels and book choices, it is quite distracting if headphones are not used. Please label the headphones with your child's name. If you do not have an extra pair at home, they are readily available at dollar stores, Walmart etc.
-Students will be attending a whole school Remembrance Day assembly on Friday morning, beginning at 10:45am. If parents would like to join us for this assembly, you are invited to do so.
-There is no school on Monday, November 11th as it is Remembrance Day.
-Scholastic Book orders are due by Friday, November 15th. Thanks!
